I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, moms come up with the best products! The product I’m reviewing (and giving away!) today is no exception. Creative mom, Amy Naylor designed and sells what is in my opinion a maternity essential, the Bashful Bump bodysuit.
Amy wanted a solution for tugging at her shirts all day so she could avoid having her stomach or back showing. Being a woman with a long torso I can totally sympathize. Especially as the months of pregnancy pass by it becomes harder and harder to stay covered. I think this would also be a great solution for shorter, more petite women who might look swallowed up by longer maternity shirts.
Bashful Bump bodysuits are made of an ultra soft fabric that I love! The fabric is breathable, soft, and not at all see through. There is a slight amount of ruching on the sides to flatter your figure as your baby belly grows. There is also a built-in shelf bra to provide a little extra support. The body suit “hooks” like every other bodysuit, with snaps. I have to tell you that I was worried about how I was going to maneuver myself to get in and out of this. However, I found out that the snaps are moved forward for a much easier reach than I expected.
I love that I don’t have to be self-conscious about showing skin. This is an essential for every maternity wardrobe! I chose to review the three-quarter length sleeve shirt and it has been a lifesaver for me. I wore it under vests when I first received it and now as it’s warming up a bit I can wear it alone. Because it’s a simple black you can dress it up or go informal. I love the versatility and comfort it gives me.
The bodysuits are available in both full-seat and thong styles. There is a tank, cap sleeve, camisole and three-quarter length sleeve option to choose from. You can also buy a black or white bodysuit. The camisole and tank tops retail for $44 and the cap sleeve and three-quarter length sleeves retail for $48.

Baby Dipper Bowl Set Review & Giveaway Ends 4/11

Barbara Schantz, the designer of Baby Dipper is an amazing woman. She’s the mother to twin girls born in 2004 and to twin boys born in 2008. That’s right, two sets of twins! As you can imagine, she had her hands full. She searched and searched for a bowl that wouldn’t slide around the table and would make meal time easy. After a lot of research and several purchases she decided to create what she had been hoping to find. She created a bowl with a sloped center, a non-skid base, and a spoon shaped collection point to gather every last bite of food.
Pros:
- Angled shape makes it easy to scoop food out with one hand (my favorite!).
- Non-skid bottom means it won’t slide around your table.
- Sloped bottom helps food slide to one corner.
- Spoon is shaped to fit the corner of the bowl.
- See through sides.
- Dishwasher safe (a must for me!)
- BPA-Free
Cons:
Not widely available (yet!)
My thoughts:
I love the non-skid base! It stays put without a suction cup locking it on to the table. This avoids having left over food being spilled all over the table when you go to remove the bowl. The bowl is triangle shaped with a slanted interior so the food slides to the lower corner. The lower corner fits the spoon and fork perfectly for easy scooping. This is not only a great feature for a busy mom but also for a toddler feeding themselves. I’ve heard that the Baby Dipper is usually demonstrated using marbles to show how easy it is to scoop food. While I haven’t tried it that does seem to be the ultimate test! Anyone who has ever chased peas around a plate can appreciate this feature.
It’s easy for parents to use the Baby Dipper with one hand, so they can keep the other hand free to care for their baby or whatever else needs doing at the moment. Something I thought was incredibly cool was that you can see through the sides of the bowl. I know what you are saying, “See through plastic is nothing new, Ashley! What’s the big deal?” With the see through sides you can easily tell how much food is left without having to tip or lean it over. Cool, right? You know only a mom thinks like that!
I love, love, love that it is dishwasher safe! If it wasn’t, I simply wouldn’t use it. Convenience is key with kids, right? It’s BPA-Free which we’re all learning is very important.

Healthy Night Light Review and Giveaway Ends 4/1

It’s definitely cold/flu season around my area. Everywhere I go, there are people hacking, coughing, or sneezing. I’ve became somewhat of a germaphobe since becoming pregnant. I know I won’t be able to take strong antibiotics if I get sick so I’m trying my absolute best to avoid becoming ill. I know I can’t protect myself from all germs and viruses (and it probably wouldn’t be good if I could) but there are a few things I can do to help promote wellness in my home.
One way that I have been trying to promote wellness is by cleaning the air with a Purely Products Healthy Night Light. Purely Products is a company that provides responsible products for responsible living. The Healthy Night Light is an ionizer, meaning it creates negative ions that attract positively charged allergens, thus removing those allergens from the air in our home. Allergens include dust, mold spores, pet dander, etc. This night light works for a room 12′x12′ in size. Another plus is that studies show that negative ions actually help the body to release more seratonin, which, in turn delivers more oxygen to the brain, also helping the person to just feel good. How neat?
We put the Healthy Night Light in our room. With cold/flu season upon us we figured that would be the best place. I would definitely love to have them all over our home, but I’ll at least buy another one for our nursery. This handy little night light just plugs into any wall outlet. The light automatically turns itself on and off, but it purifies the air even when off. I was curious to see how hot the bulb would get to see if it’s safe to put in our baby girl’s room but it is cool to the touch. It’s LED that lasts up to 35,000 hours, or about 1,458 days. It only uses 1 watt of electricity, so it won’t even make a small dent in our power bill. I would say that it’s a medium-sized night light, it’s not the smallest night light I’ve ever seen, but it certainly wouldn’t be classified as large either. It still leaves room for something else to be plugged in. It has a great, soft glow that isn’t too bright or too dim. Even though I can’t actually “see” the night light wo
rking to make our room a healthier place but I do feel like we’re taking a step in the right direction with this night light.
You can purchase the Healthy Night Light in either a 1 Pack or 2 Pack, priced at $19.95 and $29.95, respectively BUT right now they are having a sale! You can get 2 for $19.95 plus shipping and handling. I’m not sure how long this sale will last so if you’re interested I would buy now. You can get it in 3 different colors: cream, pink, or blue. We have the cream, as it’s a more neutral color that goes with more things. Purely Products has a “100% Happy 2 Year Warranty” on this product.
Purely Products is a company that gives to others. The founders of the company started a nonprofit called diaperlove that provides diapers to babies in need. Changing diapers. Changing lives. Did you know that WIC and Food Stamps don’t pay for diapers? Crazy, right? I have heard horror stories of moms actually washing out their disposable diapers to reuse them. Oh, I know, if only they knew about cloth, but…some moms don’t even have access to their own washer/dryer, or aren’t allowed to use laundromats for diaper laundry… so I’m glad to see a company reaching out to moms in need. Our thoughts:
I love how the saline solution gently removes stubborn mucus while also being gentle and safe. My favorite thing about them is that they don’t fall apart at all. One wipe handles the job so there’s no running back to the tissue box. I’m also impressed that Boogie Wipes come in two different sizes. The individually wrapped wipes are prefect for pockets and purses while the larger packs are great for diaper bags, at home, and in the car. They even have 120-count bulk canisters exclusively available for schools, childcare centers, and doctor/dentist’s offices. Another great thing to love, Boogie Wipes were invented by moms so not only are they great but they are affordable! They are only $3.99 for a 30 pack or $2.99 for 10 individually wrapped wipes. These moms know that if it isn’t effective and affordable that thrifty moms aren’t likely to buy them. As a side note, this is a great way to support mom entrepreneurs. : )

Preggie Pops may very well be one of the best and most inexpensive gifts for expectant mothers. More than 50% of pregnant women 
will experience morning sickness in their pregnancy.
Some doctors have recommended various methods and treatments for getting rid of this problem. Some say to eat small and frequent meals. Some recommend using sea-sickness bracelets to deter nausea. Preggie Pops is a safe and natural way to help combat nausea.
Since I’m pregnant and still battling with morning sickness I was excited to give Preggie Pops a try. Like any other mom who has ever suffered morning sickness, I was willing to try anything and candy sounded nice even if it didn’t work. : )
Preggie Pops looks too simple to be true but easy and affordable enough to give it a try. They appear to be mere lollipops that come in a pack of seven. I received a sour package which included the following flavors: Sour Tangerine, Sour Lemon and Sour Raspberry. Since I love candy, I hoped Preggie Pops would be the solution for me.
By the way, Preggie Pops’ parent company Three Lollies recently introduced Preggie Pop Drops to the world. These have the same safe and active ingredients as Preggie Pops without the stick. Three Lollies sent me a package of each to review.
I first previewed Preggie Pop Drops when I knew I was going to be out of the house for a few hours and away from my precious stash of goldfish and saltines. I went to a marriage conference with my hubby and a couple friends of ours (it was amazing by the way!). I threw three drops in my purse to help me manage my nausea as I would be away from snacks for quite a long period of time. To my surprise I LOVED them! Now, I can’t stress to you how much I dearly love these. I leaned over during the conference to tell my husband how great they were and he just laughed at me. I guess I was expecting them to be kind of bland and boring but they weren’t at all. I know the question on everyone’s mind is “Did the nausea go away?” The answer is an easy one, yes, it sure did! I’ll probably stick with my multiple small meals through the day but when I’m going to church I will be sure to stash a few drops in my purse or when I go to the grocery store I might carry along a pop with me. If I worked outside the house these would never leave my side!

The Dr. Oz Show is offering a variety of giveaways starting Monday at 3:00 pm ET (2pm CT, 1pm MT, Noon PT) to the first 2,100 who register at these various sites. Luckily all of the giveaways are on different sites but there is still a chance of technical problems due to the high traffic. Remember that your time is valuable and you shouldn’t try and try again if you’re not having fun trying to enter.
From my past experience with giveaways like this I recommend that you pick one (maybe two) of your favorite giveaways and keep reloading the page over and over again starting a minute before it starts until the form appears.
