Happy Monday! Today, I am wearing one of my favorite dresses that J.Jill sent me (currently on sale for just $49.99 from $79.00). The bold geometric pattern is perfect for summer and will still be great as we head into fall. I thought about adding a pop of color to my outfit but decided to play it more low-key with some matching black sandals, black jewelry, and cardigan.

Isabella Grace: Jewelry from the Heart

If you have been a long time reader of mine then you may remember how I love jewelry. I enjoy some fine jewelry, some costume jewelry, some gold, and some silver. When a representative from Isabella Grace contacted me to review a piece of jewelry the only decision I had to make was which piece I wanted. I was thrilled to promote a smaller company who has a love for sentimental jewelry.

Isabella Grace’s founder was inspired to start her jewelry line from a locket that her grandmother wore that had a picture of her grandfather in it. Isn’t that sweet? Each piece Isabella Grace creates is designed to be a keepsake. Whether you’re looking for a piece of jewelry to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, holiday, or a just because occasion, you’re sure to find the perfect look for your special someone (or even yourself!).

I have put together a collage above with a few of my favorite pieces from Isabella Grace for you all to see and I’ll give you a closer look at one of the pieces.

The stones are somewhat reflective and seem to change color depending on what they’re next to.

I absolutely love this bracelet and have worn it when dressing up and when dressing more casual.

She liked it a lot and was sad when we had to put away the “pretty bracelet.”

Origami Owl Living Locket Review

I’m sure most of you have heard of Origami Owl before, but on the off chance you haven’t I’ll give you a brief overview. The company was founded by Bella Weems when she was only 14 years old. She developed the concept of the “Living Lockets” as a way to raise money to buy her first car. Her idea soon blossomed into a nationwide jewelry trend and a business opportunity for women of all ages (14 years +). Origami Owl products are available for retail purchase, by hosting a home or online jewelry bar or you can get free jewelry by joining the Orgiami Owl sales team. The company’s motto is “Be a force for good.”

Don’t you just love that story? I sure do! A young entrepreneur wanted to make the world a little more beautiful through her jewelry and earn herself her first car. I’m so proud of her! I love her story almost as much as I love her jewelry. Almost.

Christina, an Origami Owl representative contacted me about reviewing a Living Locket. She sent me the locket of my choice and three charms that I also chose. It took me the longest time to decide which ones I wanted! There is such a variety and so many possible combinations! Here’s a look at my locket:

After much deliberation I chose the gold locket and chain. To go inside the locket I chose a tiny pearl,a rose, and a sparrow. Each of these pieces have a different significance to me and I think they look lovely together.

Here’s a close up view of the necklace. The locket opens just like you would expect a locket to giving me a quick way to add other charms I may purchase later or a metal plate to cover the back panel of the locket. I guess I could even add a tiny picture to the locket if I wanted to…but I probably won’t. I like it just like this! For now anyway.

Can I be honest and tell you something that surprised me about these lockets? The price – it is so low! My locket was $20, my chain was $12, and each charm was only $5. $47+ tax for an incredibly personalized piece of jewelry. That’s unbelievable! Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want them to raise the price or anything but don’t be fooled by the low price, these lockets are well made.

These lockets would be a great gift for nearly any occasion! Birthday, anniversary, graduation, Christmas, bridal, or a new mom gift! There are so many occasions that this would be a perfect gift for. Hint, if you’re reading this sweet husband, I like the Vintage section of the charms.

SuperJeweler: Sapphire Ring Review & Coupon Code!

I love jewelry and it’s probably safe to say that a lot of women do as well. While I may not have a huge collection of nice jewelry (yet!), the pieces I do own are unique and each tell a story. Some I bought myself, some my parents bought me when I was in high school, but most of them were bought by my husband. I much prefer unique pieces of jewelry found at smaller, independent stores (in person or online) over the ones you’ll find at the big jewelry chains. You know the ones! It’s not that they don’t have lovely pieces. Obviously they are very pretty but the thing is, everyone has them.

Recently a company called Super Jeweler contacted me to review a piece of their jewelry. I was overwhelmed by the beautiful jewelry, unique jewelry that they had on their website. It took me a while to decide on a piece but once I saw this sapphire ring I was in love.

Isn’t it lovely? It’s unique because it’s a rough cut sapphire. That means that it isn’t a clear gem but it has a variation of color and cut marks on the surface (I don’t know the official name but I’m sure it’s not “cut marks.”). I’ve never owned a rough cut stone before so I was eager to receive it and when it arrived, it exceeded my expectations.

Do you see the detailed texture on the top of the stone? I think it gives it character.

The ring came packaged in this very cute Tiffany-blue colored box.

I just adore it! Here are the specifics that the website gives, “HUGE sterling silver diamond and sapphire ring. Sterling silver diamond and sapphire ring contains one rough cut sapphire and four sparkly diamonds for a total gem weight of 7 carats. Diamond content is .02 carat in J/K color, I2 clarity. One star diamond.” The diamonds are barely noticeable but I didn’t choose it for the diamonds anyway. I bought it for the main stone and the sweet hearts on the side of the ring.

Beautiful, right? It’s not too big and not too small. Just elegant.

From this angle you can see two of the four diamonds. The two diamonds are beside the second heart down from the top. As you would assume, the other two diamonds are in the same place on the opposite side of the ring.

I have been enjoying wearing my new ring out and about. I even had a few friends and family members ask me about it and compliment me on it. It’s an eye-catcher for sure!

All in all, I’m very pleased with my experience. Super Jeweler has been great to work with and order from. Finding the Perfect Bridal Jewelry

If you’re married, how did you find the perfect choice of bridal jewelry to make your special day even brighter? For me, I wore the diamond stud earrings my fiance gave me as a wedding gift. They are beautiful!!! I wore my engagement ring alone with no other rings. I had planned to wear my great aunt’s diamond pendant necklace but on the day of the wedding I found that the chain was too long and it didn’t fit right. There went my “something borrowed” idea!

You may wonder why I’m asking about bridal jewelry but it’s something that has been on my mind lately. As you may remember my best friend was married this summer and I loved helping her look for the perfect accent pieces, dresses, etc. We lived far away so online shopping was about the only way I could help but thankfully it’s one thing that I also enjoy too! Her wedding was a beautiful one but it now has passed and I still can’t seem to get it through my head that I don’t need to keep look at wedding ideas. Plus, I’ve seen a lot of beautiful wedding pictures on Facebook lately where the bride has really incredible jewelry that accents her dress perfectly.
