DIY Lavender Aromatherapy Bubble Bath

DIY Lavender Aromatherapy Bubble Bath

Taking time to pamper yourself is important and here’s a simple way to make your own DIY Lavender Aromatherapy Bubble Bath.  I chose to use lavender because it’s been clinically proven to relax and reduce stress but this recipe will work with any essential oil scent.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup mild shampoo or dish soap {Baby shampoo is gentler but dish washing liquid is more bubbly. It’s your choice!}
  • 1/3 cup Liquid Glycerin {Glycerin moisturizes and gently cleanses. It’s also aids in making your bubble bath extra bubbly.}
  • 2 tablespoons of water
  • 15 drops Lavender Essential Oil {or your favorite scented oil}

Instructions:

  • Mix together the shampoo, glycerin, water and 15 drops of lavender oil.
  • If desired, add 5 – 10 extra drops of essential oil and mix again.
  • Pour your bubble bath into a bottle or jar that will seal tightly. Before each use shake well to mix and then pour into the tub’s running water. Then sit back, relax, and enjoy!

Making your own aromatherapy bubble bath is a great way to pamper yourself affordable and without harmful chemicals and fillers.

Beginner’s Guide to Blogging

Dare to fail

“Those who dare to fail miserably can achieve greatly.” – Robert F. Kennedy

There seems to be an increasing number of people that are interested in running their own blog.  Interested in becoming an entrepreneur! Strong indicators of this interest are the numerous ebooks, forums, and well, blog posts written about this vein of entrepreneurship. Just last month alone, I received a couple dozen emails from women seeking knowledge and opportunities.

To help meet the need that is out there I have began writing a Beginner’s Guide to Blogging series.  I know that there are several people who have already written about this topic, many who are much more qualified than I am, but since people are asking for my help I want to do what I can to share all the information I know.

While I have several topics completed already {though none are published yet} today I thought, “What else should I include?”  Here’s where you come in.  I would love for you to share your questions.  If you’re a seasoned blogger feel free to share what you would have liked to have known in the beginning instead of having to learn the hard way.

I look forward to your thoughts to make this a thorough series!!

Before I close this, I just have to say that I am not at a place where I consider myself an incredibly successful blogger so please know that this isn’t coming from an “I have arrived” perspective but more like a friend trying to help you do what she’s able to do.  I hope that makes sense.  I will continue to hold on to this the Dare To Fail strategy.  It’s working so far.

Anybody else with me … ??

The stranger who has never had kids but yet is compelled to give you unsolicited advice on how to parent yours.

Quit it.

Dreaming of Hawaii

Aqua Resorts

Are you thinking about planning a trip to Hawaii in the future?  What about, wanting to go but thinking that there is no way you could possibly afford it?  That’s probably where I’m at.

My friend spent a few years in Hawaii with her husband and I just love to see their pictures on Facebook.  It’s gorgeous there!  One thing I’ve always want to do is swim in a crystal clear blue ocean.  I guess you could say that it’s on my bucket list.  While browsing around on Pinterest I kept finding beautiful pictures tagged with the name Aqua Resorts.   I ran into it so many times that I decided to check it out.  I don’t think that was a good thing to do.  This place looks like paradise AND they have affordable options.  Seriously!  Of course I would still have to buy airfare but I’ll try not to think about that right now.

As I sit here dreaming about day dreaming on the shore side I’ll share some of Aqua Resorts’ coupons/deals with you.  Who knows?  Maybe you can send me a picture of you there!

From the Aqua Resort website:

  • Help save a vet & save on rates! Write a thank you card to a veteran and enjoy 10% off our best available rates at all participating Aqua Hotels. Plus, when you book the Mahalo To Our Veterans rate, a portion from every sale goes to support the U.S. Veterans Initiative, Hawaii Chapter, Barbers Point Homeless Veterans Program.
  • Aqua is celebrating local style with Hawaii’s favorite footwear, and we invite you to go local and slip into savings! Book the Slip into Savings rate, show us your slippers (flip flops) and save 10% off at participating Aqua Hotels on Oahu, Maui, Kauai, Molokai.

Bulk Business Mail Tag

Bulk Business Mail Tag

Today was a great mailbox day!  My weekly inserts arrived from Krazy Inserts.  My double jogging stroller came to review and even though that didn’t fit in my mailbox it still consider it mail. : )  I had a bunch of great freebies but along with them I found a Bulk Business Mail tag.   Has anyone ever received a card like this in your mail?  From what I’ve read in a few forums it seems that this belongs to the USPS and wasn’t meant for me.  That only seemed to be speculation and I was hoping for a more concrete answer.  Can anyone confirm that this is true?  I guess if no one knows, I’ll just try to catch my mailman and ask him about it tomorrow.

Thanks for your help;  I have the best readers!
