Snapple: Free 6 Pack After Rebate

Snapple has a new mail-in rebate for a free 6 pack of Snapple (up to $6.99). If you have submitted a Snapple mail-in rebate in the past you are still eligible for this offer. Offer not valid in Rhode Island.

Some stores may have an official rebate form on a tear pad near the Snapple drinks but you don’t need that to request a rebate. Instead you can simply provide the following information on an index card:

Name
Address
Phone and/or email address
Flavor purchase
Price paid
Store name

Along with your card (or official rebate form), you will need to send your original receipt dated between 3/27 – 6/30/11 and the UPC code found on the Snapple box. Envelope must be postmarked by July 11, 2011. Allow up to 6-8 weeks for delivery of rebate check.

Unlike normal rebates this one has a limit of 1 rebate request per person and up to 5 requests her household. There can even be multiple Snapple products in one transaction as long as the receipt shows multiple purchases.

Diaper Prices on the Rise

Kimberly-Clark, the maker of Huggies, is raising prices on diapers and wipes beginning June 19, 2011. As expected they are citing the rising energy and materials costs. KC says they’ll up prices by around 7% which is comes out to be about a dollar per jumbo pack. This means that families can easily add up to $80-$100 or more to their diaper budget.

Kimberly-Clark is not going to raise prices on it’s Kleenex tissues or their Viva or Scott paper towels. However, their Cottonelle and Scott toilet paper will see a 7% rise in price.

As expected, Pampers manufacturer, Procter & Gamble, has joined Kimberly-Clark, telling consumers that they can expect a 7% price increase on their diapers and wipes. P&G also explain that the price hike is a result of increased materials and energy costs.

The price hike will cost consumers around $3 for every pack of 100 diapers. This should mean that diaper stock-up prices will be about two cents more than they previously were. Consumers should expect to add $70-$100 to their diaper budget.

Keep in mind that P&G will also be raising the price on their other brands which include Bounty & Charmin. Stock-up on sale and coupon match-up deals now!

What ways are there to combat this diaper hike? Here are my recommendations but I would love to hear your ideas too!

Give cloth diapers a try
Consider switching to a store brand
Stock-up on lower prices while you can by matching sales with coupons
Stock-up by taking advantage of the Amazon Mom program that helps parents easily score jumbo packs for way under $6.

TinyPrints is offering another free Mother’s Day card of your choice when you use coupon code MDGIFT at checkout. These customizable cards are just darling! I wish I saw this freebie before I spent too much at Hallmark. Shipping is free if you have the card sent to yourself or $0.44 if you choose to send it directly to your recipient.

This code is only good for today 4/27 but check back at TinyPrints’ Facebook page after 4/27 because it’s likely that they’ll post another code after this one expires. Update: This coupon code will remain valid as long as long as supplies last. Hopscout’s Stay-at-Home Millionaire Mom

Let me start with the summary:

Let me start at the beginning. Hopscout (formerly known as Liluxe) is a site that sells kids toys, one cool toy a day. Several sites do a deal-a-day but Hopscout stands out from the crowd because they are the only ones focused on classic and timeless toys! Ya’ll know I love a good deal but I also LOOOVE classic toys (classic anything really)! Hopscout has great products, good deals and a neat video to go along with each toy they sell.

Hopscout announced a while back that they were going to be hiring 5 new editors. I shared this news on my blog, Twitter, & Facebook but it wasn’t until my husband saw the opportunity and asked me about it that I seriously thought about applying myself. I thought it would be an incredible opportunity with great perks but I was hesitant to try because the first cut would required many, many people to vote for my application video. My husband knew this was the perfect job for me and encouraged me to give it a try. Here I am, giving it my best shot!

I’m not one who likes to ask for votes, that’s just not my personality. I was recently in a contest for StartUpNation’s Leading Mom in Business and I quietly placed a button on my sidebar to advertise it. I never tweeted about it once! So, yes, this is very difficult for me to do but I hope you’ll see why I am doing it and will go vote for me. : )
