It’s that time of year again. You know, the one where you get packages delivered to your door almost every day? Or at least it seems like it! Online shopping is fun and can bring some serious savings when you use our coupon code database but all those packages can get overwhelming sometimes, can’t they? With UPS My Choice you’ll never miss a package and you can reschedule your delivery if you’re going to be out of town.

I LOVE this freebie! Seriously, it may be my favorite of all time. Months and months ago I signed up for UPS My Choice Alerts because I thought it might come in handy every once in a while. I am now receiving packages about once a week or at least every other week and it is so nice to know when they are coming. I get my UPS notice far before the company’s email telling me when it should arrive (if they send one at all). I love this service and I really can’t believe that it’s free!

Let’s Celebrate – Today is My 10,000th Day!

Today my husband and I celebrated my 10,000th day being alive! He said that it’s more significant than my actual birthday because this is the last time I’ll ever add a digit to that number. Isn’t he the sweetest!?

He’s been building up this day up for weeks without telling me the significance of it and it’s been driving me crazy. I’ve called friends and family to see if they knew of any significance the date held. No such luck. I thought I could pry it out of him after midnight last night but that didn’t even work. Finally, today came and he took me out for breakfast and told me the news. I am officially 10,000 days old! When you say it like that it sounds old. ha. It’s sad that it’s starting to sound old when you say it in years.

I can’t complain. I’ve had a fabulous 10,000 day birthday. My life is good! I have a wonderful Savior, I’m married to an amazing man, I have a sweet daughter, and it’s been a great 10,000 days! Here’s to the next 10,000+!

Maybe Today

Maybe today! We all say that a lot. Maybe today I will get that room cleaned out, maybe today I will clean out that closet, or maybe today I will get a plan together to pay off those bills. But more importantly, sometimes we say, “Maybe today I will witness to that person,” “Maybe today I will forgive that person” or “Maybe today I will start my day with Bible reading and prayer.” But we all know that many times these “days” come and go.

Allow me to remind us of something that may indeed happen today. Maybe today Jesus will come. One day the trumpet will sound, and the dead in Christ will rise first and then we who are alive will be caught up together with the Lord. You will find this in 1 Thessalonians 4. The obvious implications of this are important. We are running out of “days” to do what we know we should do.

Ephesians 5:15-16 says we are to “walk circumspectly not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time because the days are evil.” Live today like it may be “the day” when Jesus keeps this promise and comes to get us. And in the mean time, let us Worship Him, Wait For Him, Witness of Him and Work For Him.

Is He coming? YES, without a doubt. Will it be today? Perhaps! Should I live differently because it could happen today? Absolutely.

October 15th is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness day. Mothers and fathers all over the country will light candles tonight in rememberance of the child they no longer hold.
