I just heard the news that Goober passed away yesterday, May 6, 2012, after a brief illness.  Goober was one of my favorite characters on the “Andy Griffith Show” and I hate to hear this news.  I still enjoy reruns of the show today even though I’m pretty sure I’ve seen them all at least twice.  Were you a fan of the show too?
