All You: $0.83/issue & Support for Disaster Relief

I have a great deal to announce! When you purchase a subscription to All You Magazine for $25.00 (that’s $0.83 an issue for 30 issues), $10.00 of your purchase goes towards Tornado Relief Efforts. Several non-profit groups working in tornado-affected areas will benefit from this fundraiser including Samaritan’s Purse. 30 Day Giving Challenge

Do you have a giving heart? Then you might want to join me in this 30 Day Giving Challenge.

Here’s the info:

The challenge is to give something to someone everyday in November. The gifts can be anything given to anyone…money, food, old clothes, crafts, your time, or even kind words. I would love to have my readers join me in this challenge. The way I see it, even if I don’t give something every single day it will probably would still be more than I normally would have given any other month…and that’s worth it, right?

There is a team of ten bloggers who will continually be providing giving ideas, inspiration, and other tools to help you give like you’ve never given before! You can stay up-to-date by following the 30 Day Giving Challenge on Facebook, Twitter, & BlogFrog Community. You can also use these networking tools to connect with other participants, get ideas, ask questions, and grow in your faith. You can follow my giving progress here on Embracing Beauty.

Here are some of the gift ideas I’ve came up with so far:

donate can goods to a local food pantry
donate new toys in your gift drawer or closet to Toys for Tots
make and deliver a meal to a grieving family or a family with a sick loved one
donate a couple of hours of free babysitting for new parents
rake up the leaves in an elderly friend’s house
clean out your closets to donate to GoodWill or the Salvation Army
give few more dollars in the plate at church
prepare a gift for those new to the neighborhood
send a letter and a box of non-perishable goodies to a soldier
have the kids make and mail cards to missionaries
put together a shoebox (or more) for Operation Christmas Child

Buy Dawn & Help Donate $1 to Save Wildlife

When you buy any specially marked bottle of Dawn dishwashing liquid, Dawn will donate $1.00 to a wildlife organization on your behalf! To make your purchase count, look for the code on the bottle and enter it on their website. While they were originally only donating up to their goal of $500,000 in donations their website says that they are still donating $1.00 for every code that is entered above their $500,000 goal. The donations go to benefit the International Bird Rescue Research Center and Marine Mammal Center. Another great way to give without paying a penny!

Help Pepperidge Farm Donate to Susan G. Komen

I am excited to share about Pepperidge Farm’s donation incentive supporting Susan G. Komen for the Cure during the month of October. Whenever someone posts a personal Milano Moment on Milano’s Facebook Page in October, Pepperidge Farm will donate $.50 per Moment up to $50,000. I’m hoping to share this message with you in hopes of maxing out Pepperidge Farm’s donation to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. This is yet another way to give a free donation!

Help Frigidaire Donate $1 to Save the Children Free

This Holiday season, Frigidaire and Jennifer Garner are asking everyone to set a place at the “virtual kids’ table” for a child in need. Starting today at MakeTimeforChange.com Frigidaire will donate $1 to support Save the Children. It is an effort to ensure that kids have access to healthy foods this holiday season (and all year long).

Help Yoplait and Kroger Donate $1 to Susan G. Komen Foundation

When you “Like” the Sharing Courage Facebook page,and for every Facebook fan, Yoplait and Kroger will donate $1.00 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. They are currently at $29,889 and their goal is to reach $150,000 by October 31. After you “like” them you can help spread the word by clicking on “Invite your Friends” link under the pink goal box. You can invite up to 16 friends at a time. What a wonderful and simple way to give!
