The Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program 2012 is now live.  You can download the printable form here.

 

If your child reads eight books between now and September 4, 2012, they can submit their reading journal to their local store to receive a free book of their choice. I’m not too familiar with many of the free book options this year but there are a few that I recognize.

During the month of October grab your kiddies and visit Barnes and Noble for Online Storytime.  You’ll get audio and video of favorite children’s books read by authors and celebrities.  The selection for October is If You Give a Mouse A Cookie read by the author Laura Numeroff.

If you live near a Barnes & Noble Cafe, you’ll want to print this Starbucks coupon.  It is for a buy one, get one free beverage!  This coupon expires on 10/5 so you only have a few days to use it.  As the weather is getting cooler this is a nice way to save on a yummy warm treat!

Free Online Story: Strega Nona

Strega Nona

Get a free story with Online Storytime by Barnes & Noble.  This month’s featured story is “Strega Nona” and is read by the book’s author and illustrator Tomie dePaola.  These stories are pretty awesome, you can raise/lower the volume, pause it, and my favorite, create a full-screen window.
