Two weeks ago this morning I woke up, rolled over, rolled over again, and just about burst into tears. After a few minutes of flip flopping I realized the pain in my stomach wasn’t from the cheeseburger I ate the night before. I laid there trying to gain composure as I ran over the “game plan” in my head before I woke Mike up. I was having contractions!
Two hours later I was on my way to the hospital with contractions that were two minutes apart. I walked into the hospital clenching my husband’s arm and stopping every minute and a half for another contraction. Every lady that passed me by either wished me luck or gave me the famous southern sympathy, “Bless your heart.”
One lovely epidural, seven hours of napping, and four pushes later I had one of these:
I am very blessed.
