By the way, to be clear -- with this offer, it seems you'll still get the 11% contribution from your Upromise Credit card -- that's the official card -- but you won't get the large contribution from Target, just the standard one.

Be very careful with the super offers -- I have been a member of Upromise since 2001, and mostly have been satisfied. But there is a 21% offer right now involving Target. The "Hottest Reward" says that Target will give you a 10% contribution, and if you use your Upromise Credit Card, you'll get an 11% contribution. But, as you may find out the hard way, this offer does not apply to: personal care and household products or baby care products from Target, among other things. Most of the things it doesn't apply to make sense. These don't, at least to me.

To protect yourself, do this. Go to the Upromise home page. Search for the retailer in question (such as Target) using the search box. You will see a link that says "Merchant Details and Restrictions." Click out that link, get out your magnifying glass (just kidding) and make sure you know what is what before you rush into that big ticket item that could go from savings joy to utter disappointment.

You'll find more program details here. http://www.upromise.com/8349.2.do

My very best to you,

Linda G-M
