What great beauty deals have you found recently?

I love this coupon book and I’m always excited when it comes around again.  You can request a Free P&G coupon booklet by logging in or registering.  This coupon book contains great coupons from Cascade, Dawn, Febreze and various other P&G brand products and it’s completely free to request!  Once you request your booklet it should arrive in 4-6 weeks.

Once again P&G and Walmart have teamed together to make another family-friendly movie!  This one is called Game of Your Life, Choose Your Moves Carefully.  Don’t you just love the title?  As with all of their movies, Game of Your Life, opens the opportunity for family discussion on morals and personal accountability.  I love it!  I can’t say enough about how I appreciate them making quality,  uncheesy, and entertaining movies suitable for the entire family.  That is so rare these days and really applaud them for it!

Synopsis:

When gamer Zach Taylor lands a prized scholarship to a prestigious Institute of Game Design, his future breaks wide open. The opportunity to study under gaming legend Marcus Bentton and alongside the country’s most creative minds will certainly propel him into a successful career as a video game designer. That is, if he can pass the infamous freshman project that eliminates more than half of the class!

 

He teams up with brilliant yet socially awkward friends Phillip and Donald and together they persuade Sara Ramirez, a determined girl with whom Zach has a history (and possibly a future) – to join them. As the group becomes more and more entrenched in the project, Zach learns that his father, is facing mounting financial difficulty. To help out, Zach accepts an opportunity to work directly with Marcus Bentton on a secretive side project that seems too good to be true. The effort requires nearly all of Zach’s time and energy, which he should be devoting to the project. Struggling to keep it together, Zach is torn between his responsibility to his team, his admiration for Bentton and a chance to help his father.

 

It’s a revealing story that recognizes the magnitude behind the choices we make and the importance loyalty plays in making good decisions.

Loyalty.  How often do you hear that word anymore?  People today in the younger generation, my generation, don’t know much at all about being loyal.  If someone become too busy they’ll just politely back out on their commitments and expect everyone to understand.  I deeply believe that loyalty is one of the best traits a person can have.  To be loyal means that you’ll put others above your own desires, that takes maturity.  Watch Game of Your Life to see how Zach handles being torn three different directions!

This Family Movie Night featured some familiar faces!  Ryan McPartlin from the TV series Chuck {it took me half the movie to remember where I knew him from}, Beau Bridges from The Fabulous Baker Boys, Catherine Hicks who played the beloved Mrs. Camden on the hit TV show Seventh Heaven, Josh Braaten from Semi-Pro,  Lisa Varga from Deadly Closure, Katie Carr from Heroes, and Maxwell Perry Cotton from Mr. Popper’s Penguins.  This star-studded cast brought a new oomph to the Family Movie Nights.

Here’s a little bit about the movie:

Pro football star Jake Walker is just one season away from setting an all-time receiving record that will guarantee him a spot in the Hall of Fame. But when he gets news that his father has suffered a serious heart attack, Jake leaves training camp and returns to Riverton, the small hometown he’s avoided for nearly 15 years.
Past memories of glory and regret resurface as Jake is forced to reconnect with the family and community he abandoned in pursuit of his career. A call from his agent delivers another crushing blow – Jake’s contract will not be renewed.

Stripped from the thing he cares about most, the real Jake begins to emerge from behind his armor to see that life proves more than the accumulation of personal stats. But when he’s offered a lucrative new contract with another team, he must decide whether to go back to the career he thought he loved, or stay in Riverton and embrace the people who have always been there for him.

As with all the Family Movie Night films I really enjoyed it!  The movie was clean which is personally a refreshing break from what is normally on television.  I love how the P&G/Walmart movies make it easy to talk about morals and personal struggles.  These movies can help create great family discussion.  The storyline kept my attention and the acting was terrific and wasn’t cheesy like a lot of TV movies.  Yea, you know the ones I’m talking about!  It was a pleasure to watch and one that I can happily recommend to you.  Speaking of being cheesy, here I go…it was a touchdown in my book!

With college football right around the corner this movie couldn’t have came out at a better time.  I am pumped more than ever for the first UGA game of the season (it’s Saturday if you’re interested).

With a newborn in the house we don’t get out to see a movie very often so we take advantage of movies on TV and on Netflix!  I was excited to find out that P&G and Walmart have teamed together to make another family-friendly and free movie for TV.  This new movie is called Who is Simon Miller?

I had the privilege to be invited to an early viewing today and I loved the movie!  Who Is Simon Miller? is about Simon Miller (you knew that though, right?) who is a geologist (or so he says!).  One day he disappears out of the blue and his family-wife Meredith and two kids, Sarah and Kevin, realize Simon has a secret life that they knew nothing about. They set out to look for him and that’s where the adventure begins!  There ‘s plenty of action and twists in the storyline.  It is incredibly difficult to describe without giving things away so just trust me, its good!

As with all Walmart and P&G movies it is entertaining enough for adults to enjoy and clean enough for the kiddos to watch.  The movie can help open the floor for discussions on trust and honesty.  I love how there is always a clear moral to the story {or is it movie in this case?}.
