How RecycleBank Works

RecycleBank

I feel that I’m the last person to get involved with RecycleBank. When I first heard about it a few years ago I was excited about the idea but then I found out that it wasn’t available in my area and I quickly forgot about it.  This year I’ve heard many of you discussing all the different ways you can get free RecycleBank points and I decided to do a little investigating.  It turns out that RecycleBank has changed a lot since I first heard of it!  It is now a great way for everyone to get high-value coupons.  You don’t have to live in an area that is participating in RecycleBank but if you do you can earn extra points for your regular recycling.  You can now refer-a-friend for 10 bonus points.  {This is my referral link above, thank you for your support!}

Here’s a bit of info about RecycleBank from their website:

Whether you pledge to use less energy, increase your at-home recycling or even just learn how you can increase the green in your home and neighborhood, we’ll reward you through grocery store savings, drugstore coupons, and discounts on the brands you buy every day. This way, you reap the rewards of not only brightening your community and helping your environment, but also truly benefit from meaningful savings.

Here are some different ways you can earn points with RecycleBank:

  • Recycling (if it’s available in your area)
  • Donating (some locations offer this year round, some for limited times, and some don’t at all)
  • Conservation challenges
  • Making pledges
  • Referring friends
  • and many more (for example, pledging to recycle Ziploc bags)!

I will be posting RecycleBank offers and free codes from now on but you can also earn points right after you register by clicking the “Earn Points” tab.

If you are a RecycleBank expert and have tips to share please leave a comment for us newbies to learn from!
